History

Some quick words here that I found in a file ... these will have to suffice until I get around to doing a more polished version for this new personal web site.

 

Roger Ruhl is age 80 (born 6/19/1944) ... how can I possibly be that old.  I I am 5’8” … 166 pounds. Cincinnati native.  Only child of loving parents.  Grew up Catholic; and now simply Christian.  St. Xavier High School.  Xavier University three years (newspaper editor, captain of the golf team); finished at West Virginia University while pursuing a master’s degree and working fulltime as athletic publicity director.  U.S. Army 1968-1970, including a tour in Vietnam.  Communications and marketing executive positions with the Cincinnati Royals pro basketball team, Cincinnati Reds, local advertising agency, Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce.  Started a marketing communications solo consultancy in 2000.  Since 2007 officer/board member working parttime for the Charles Dater Foundation.  Married 1972-1996 … amicable divorce and continued friendship with former wife … “dated” a significant other for 21 years (2002-2023) until her death.  Moved to a condo near her in Montgomery in 2015.  Family: a married daughter (age 49) living in Cincinnati.  More workplace biographical information is available on the Roger Ruhl Marketing Communications web site.
