Iowa beat UConn last night in a great women's college basketball game in the semifinals of the NCAA tournament.  But it ended with controversy.  Did the UConn player move or slide while setting a screen with 10 seconds left in a one-point game?  Tough way to lose for UConn.  Was it a foul?  Maybe ... but like football, there is a holding and pass interference infraction on every play, isn't there?  Bottom line ... I guess I don't think you call that one with the national championship on the line.  UConn slowed down Caitlin Clark but a couple others emerged from her shadow and contributed just enough.  Her passing is as impressive as her shooting ... if teammates had made shots, she would have had another 6-8 assists.  South Carolina looks formidable for tomorrow's Championship game.  I told a friend who is a longtime fan of the UConn women and the women's game that this really is the first time I have watched women's basketball ... different game than the one I remember from short glimpses 10-20 years ago.  Yes, very entertaining ... maybe more than the men.
